Quesiteros Prevail, as Serie Eliminatoria Goes to the Wire Wednesday, November 11th , 1903 To the chagrin of fans everywhere, Liga Hostos Serie Eliminatoria had to end eventually. But pushed to the final game, it was the Isabela Quesiteros coming out on top of the Rincon Ingenieros in the classic series. Isabela won the final game by a score of 6-0 and took the series 3-2. "The final game of the series is tough on the nerves whether you're a fan or a player," said Isabela left-hander Alejandro Cerda. "I think we did a good job of controlling our nerves and doing the job necessary to win." Cerda was named series MVP, as he put up a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 3 strikeouts with a 1-0 record. The Isabela Quesiteros will play against the Ponce Senores in the next round. Ponce won their series against the Culebra Tortugas 3 games to 0.
