Starting pitcher Gerardo Escobar gave the Coamo Termales a rock-solid effort. The Bayamón, Puerto Rico native helped his team defeat the Hormigueros Romeros, 3-2, at Estadio Graciano Figueroa. Escobar, now 16-9, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The first-place Termales are 68-42.

Driscoll Dolan had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for Coamo. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Coamo in front, 3-1.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Escobar after the game.
